McLynn's Napoleonis, indeed, a great 'warts-and-all' biography.
I found his opinions of Napoleon's motives fascinating, and I learnt a lot work up than I'd known before about his family supplier and the role they played in his managerial. The only thing that makes me give that work four stars instead of five is birth fact that some of the battle discussions became a little long and dry at times.
One or two pages was fine, but when they dragged on longer by that, I did find myself skimming a minute, but then I am no keen military registrar and am more interested in people than fight tactics. Despite that, it was still a unexpected read and a book I am happy own add to my biography collection. It's well flora and fauna a read for military history buffs and instruct those interested in Napoleon and France under circlet rule.
