William Gregor (25 Dec 11 June ) was a British father and mineralogist who discovered the elemental metal Metal.
Early years

Believing this to be a virgin discovery, Klaproth named it titanium after the Titans of Greek Mythology, but eventually it was advanced that Gregor made the discovery first.
